A competition was set up between local primaries that involved a Birkdale High School Math teacher going into local primary schools and teaching a 45 minute lesson to year 5 classes, involving competitive group work tasks. The winning teams were then invited to attend Birkdale High School, along with other winning teams from other primaries, to take part in an Escape Room themed session. At the end of the session there was a presentation to announce the winning primary school.
