The Cambridge National in Creative iMedia will equip learners with a range of creative media skills and provide opportunities to develop, in context, desirable, transferable skills such as research, planning and review, working with others and communicating creative concepts effectively.This qualification will help you to
develop knowledge, and understanding relating to different sectors, products and job roles that form the media industry. You will also learn how to develop visual identities for clients and apply the concepts of graphic design to create original digital graphics to engage target audiences.
The course consists of three of the four modules*:
Units RO94, RO96, RO97 are centre assessed and externally moderated and are assessed throughout the course. RO93 is a written examination.
Although it is also essential that candidates have a reasonable command of written English, the qualities listed above are more important than academic ability. Creative iMedia is an extremely rewarding course for those who are eager to improve their skills in the use of information communication technology. It provides an excellent foundation for further study and skills that are highly sought after by many employers.
Creative iMedia skills are essential for success in employment and higher education, and are among the fundamental transferable skills required by employers. Cambridge Nationals deliver these skills across the whole range of learning styles and abilities, effectively engaging and inspiring all students to achieve great things. This qualification is equivalent to one GCSE and allows students to go on to further study of digital media, ICT, Business, Design and Technology and of course A-Levels, T-Levels and apprenticeships.
