KGV and Southport College Virtual Tours
Our virtual open events are back and they’re better than ever! The interactive ‘street-view’ tour enables you to look round our college as if you are virtually there. Get familiar with our facilities and explore even more about the courses you have applied for. With a host of extra videos that give you a closer insight to what it’s like to be a student with us, it’s definitely worth coming back and having another look round. In particular, you can hear from our students and learn about their experiences whilst studying with us. Click on the link below.
At this time of year we would usually start to go to local colleges to sample courses that are being considered for the end of Year 11. Not surprisingly colleges have had to cancel these events and are looking at putting something virtual together that we will send out when revived.
As its is only a matter of time until Year 10 students will have applied for their chosen college/sixth form/ apprenticeship, or all 3, we through it would be a good idea to encourage you all to start looking at what you may wish to do, or a t least start to look at what’s out there.
Here are a list of the local colleges and sixth form providers with details online of courses on offer.

If you would like to look at apprenticeships these tend to only be advertised when companies are recruiting (limited in the current climate), but there are usually great opportunities for school leavers from companies like BAE, Jaguar Landrover, Civil Service and Armed Forces. We also work closely with Southport College.
Please use the link below for the latest information on apprenticeships, supported by the National Apprenticeship Service. It also includes information on mental health, well-being…
