For ICT - Learning from home:
All pupils have a been given a combined revision guide/workbook and an envelope containing a complete set of three practice papers and mark schemes to be worked through (one per week) in their own time.
This is to be done by attempting the paper from memory first - then using their revision guides to assist them on any problem questions, then completed/marked using the mark schemes.
In addition we have been using past papers during lessons and revision sessions. Each Thursday, after school there have been revision classes which involve looking at one past paper per week and an opportunity for boys to ask about any topic they have difficulty with. This will continue up to and including the 15th of May (after exam leave has begun).
In addition pupils have been instructed to use the Inquizitor question banks to set themselves quick quizzes-their performance will be logged and they will be expected to show improving scores and at least three attempts per week.
They have also been instructed to use the www.teach-ict.com website to offer a different approach to revision. This involves completing the revision quizzes, the video tutorials and the different topic sections. |
